MANTRAS?

Mantra in literally translation from sanskrit, the oldest language of ancient Vedas, means transcendental or antimaterial sound vibration which releases our mind.

What is the secret of mantras? Can we apply them to our everyday life?

Successful usage of mantras depends on few factors, one of them is knowing the nature of sound. Sound is, according to Vedas, basic media of knowledge transmission, because it gives us deeper and more plastic dimension of truth than one of picture, smell etc. In vedic evidence of universe creation, sound is the most subtle manifestation of matery, and from it all the other rough material elements are manifested, from ether to air, fire, wather and earth. Sound is carrier of organisation of material structure and is immanent in all material things. Interesting is that this is very close to some modern theories, for example in the field of kvantum phisics. Material forms and elements are, when analysed and separated, just some diferent sound ferquences that vibrate in front of our eyes like pictures on movie screen. All material world is just one vibrating reality with the sound as its base. Man, as spiritual being is caught in this vibrating stucture just like the moovie viewer who identifies himself with them and accepts those temporary and illusionary world pictures as truthful and constant.

Purpose of mantra

According to vedic philosophy, human being is spiritual, he is not this material body with whome he has identified himself. To realise his essence, self as a spiritual soul, one must transcend material wrappers which cover the soul as rough (evident physical body) and subtile body made from mind, inteligence and false ego. It is possible to accomplish desirable goal by careful chanting, articulateing and hearing mantras. Sound is the source of material objects and also the cause of our outgrow from atachments to them in the same time. Real aim of mantras is in their subtile, transcendental or antimaterial implementation.

mantra

Mantra has all vital energies of the universe and is unlimited with time and space, because it comes from apsolute sphere and has power to enlive our spiritual nature suppressed long ago.
